OCEANSIDE PIER - SOUTHSIDE

SEPTEMBER 24-25 2016

CONDITIONS: The Southwest Conference kicked off the 2016/17 Explorer Season with a doubleheader weekend on the southside of Oceanside Pier. A potent southwest swell delivered waves galore for the competitors. Solid overhead lefts and rights with some barreling sections for on offer for both days of the competition with warm Indian summer weather.

HIGHLIGHTS: In event #1, Hayden Rodgers achieved perfection posting a perfect 20 heat total in the Menehuene semi finals. In the heat, including the two 10-point scoring rides, Hayden also threw away 2 excellent scores of 9.0! Overall the weekend result standout was Ella McCaffray who walked away with four total victories - two in event #1 and two in event #2!
