New Smyrna Beach, FL

The sixth event of the 2012-13 Southeast/North College Season was held Sunday, February 3rd at New Smyrna Beach Inlet in small but rippable surf. The University of Central Florida continues to dominate college surfing this season pulling off their fifth win of the season. They are now 5 for 6 in regular season victories with their only loss coming in event #4 last December to Brevard Community College. In the individual categories Brevard Community College surfer Cory Howell claimed victory in the College Men’s final. Former UCF team member Will Warren transferred to FAU and has given the team some firepower taking the win in the Longboard final. University of Florida team member Cierra Cunningham was triumphant in the College Women’s. It has been a terrific year for College surfing with many teams competing and in contention to grab the 2013 Collegiate Regional title from the powerful University of North Carolina Wilmington squad who has been in command for the past few years!
The final event of the 2012-13 Southeast/North College Season will be held March 18th at New Smyrna Beach Inlet.
