(Huntington Beach, Ca – November 15, 2012) -- The NSSA Gold Coast Conference continued with the third doubleheader of the 2012-13 season at Ventura Harbor’s South Jetty. Surf conditions ranged from fair, two-to-four foot scattered wind-swept peaks on Saturday to cleaner lined up chippy lefts with good ramps sections on Sunday. Afternoon lowtide and increasing onshore winds churned out shifty, inconsistent sets creating more tricky conditions for the finalists. The surfers in rhythm were finding the good, steep left nuggets and ripping them to earn high scores. Eithan Osborne, Jordan Collins, Tia Blanco and Chris Keet were the outstanding performers of the weekend locking up multiple wins. The 12-year-old Osborne is on track for an undefeated season in the Menehuenes sealing his seventh straight victory. Collins was just as impressive going with his progressive strengths and maximizing the rampy sections. He won both the Juniors and Airshow divisions in event #7 boosting clean airs in each final. Collins also placed second and third in the Boys finals in events #6 and #7 respectively and will remain number one ranked in the division. Tia Blanco has clearly stepped up her competitive game and continues to be major player in the NSSA female divisions. At this event, Blanco shined again with a dynamic performance in the challenging conditions taking home both Women’s victories in events 6 and 7. Gold Coast perennial coach, leader and inspirer Chris Keet won four divisions over the doubleheader weekend.
