UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA TRIUMPHS AGAIN AT SOUTHEAST/NORTH COLLEGE EVENT #2

NSSA SOUTHEAST/NORTH CONFERENCE

COLLEGE EVENT #2

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA

OCTOBER 7, 2012

By: Linda Johnston

The second stop of the 2012-13 east coast college season went off at New Smyrna Beach in small but fun waist high waves under beautiful Florida skies. The event saw one of the largest college contingents showing up to battle for top honors with thirteen teams competing! The University of Central Florida team has been unstoppable for two straight events taking their second victory of the season. A critical key to UCF’s dominance has been team member Connie Arias who claimed her second consecutive victory in the College Womens division. Max Mellon from the University of North Florida sealed his first victory of the season in the College Mens while University of Florida’s Andrew Donnagelo took his first season victory in the Longboard.

The UCF team has staged an exciting comeback campaign in the first two events of the season. The perennial east coast dominant team has not put together a winning season since 2004. Stay tuned as we keep track of their quest for another championship run and if other teams will step up to the plate and put a halt to their mission. Southeast/North College event #3 will be held at New Smyrna Beach on November 4, 2012.

The 2012-13 NSSA East and West coast competition season is proudly presented by Nike.
